Pasadena, California – May 16, 2010 – CXC Simulations along with Fast Cars Ltd. saw an amazing turnout at the Concorso Ferrari event, giving show goers the opportunity to virtually race their Ferrari at any track they desired. With three blocks of Pasadena’s Colorado Blvd closed off and over 100 vintage and late model Ferraris, including a Michael Schumacher F1 car, a racing Testa Rosa and other exotics on display, there was plenty to see. But participants and admirers alike crowded around the Fast Cars Ltd. booth to view and participate in the highest level of simulated racing available, on the CXC Motion Pro II racing simulator.
While Fast Cars Ltd., the highly-regarded Redondo Beach company offering full service repair and restoration of Ferraris, as well as vintage racecar preparation, provided examples of their workmanship and attention to detail, CXC brought two versions of its Motion Pro II driving simulator, each with different options. Both Fast Cars Ltd. and CXC Simulations offer unique products and services to provide car enthusiasts with the tools to be a competitive racecar driver or simply to be able to safely enjoy their cars, whether racing on a track or on the road. But on a Motion Pro II simulator, that capability extends to virtually any car one wants to drive.
One Ferrari owner chanced to remark to Chris Considine of CXC Simulations that he’d like to drive that Schumacher Formula One Ferrari down the street. “No problem,” said Considine, “We can make that happen.” And he did. What’s more, the happy fellow not only had his first experience driving an F1 car, but was able to choose where from a seemingly unending list of tracks on our simulator. As usual, a surprisingly intense (at least, to him!) driving experience followed. And big smiles all around. Really, the only way to appreciate a Motion Pro II racing simulator is to personally experience one.
Thanks to the Ferrari Club of America – Southwest Region, Fast Cars Ltd. and The Auto Gallery of Calabasas for a great day at Concorso Ferrari.
Headquartered in Marina del Rey, California, CXC Simulations was established specifically to manufacture a professional-level racing simulator that was not only suitable for pro drivers and race teams, but practical for home use. Developed with professional drivers and engineers over a period of two years, the result was the CXC Motion Pro II Simulator, about which AutoWeek said, “might just be the best racing simulator in the world.”
The CXC Motion Pro II is carefully assembled from aluminum, laser-cut steel and carbon fiber, the same materials as racecars. Powered by a purpose-built rack-mounted simulation computer, it is compatible with all major commercial and online racing software options and users may choose from a nearly inexhaustible and ever-increasing list of modern or vintage cars to drive, including F1, GT, NASCAR, sports cars, off-road, open-wheel and rally (even race boats) and tracks around the world to race on. Yet the precise implementation and interpretation of that racing software is what separates the MP II from other simulators; the exact timing, intensity and accuracy of its proprietary full-motion system, tactile transducers and force-feedback controls, together with 5.1 surround sound and a 1080p high-definition video display. Trusted by professional racers for training and loved by home simulator users for racing games, the CXC Motion Pro II provides the ultimate driving simulator experience.
