CXC Simulations was front and center for the celebrity action at the inaugural DRIVE4COPD Pro Am Celebrity Racing Challenge on March 23 at the premier Auto Club Speedway in southern California.

The Auto Club Speedway held its first “FundRacing” event featuring famous names in entertainment, music and business. Before competing against each other for the best qualifying times for two laps on the track, the Pro-Am celeb drivers got suited up in official racing gear and took part in a racing school on-site. CXC Simulations also took part in the FundRacing challenge by providing two racing simulators to entertain the VIP guests as well as train them for the on-track sessions in real NASCAR stock cars. CXC’s professional driving simulator with its accurate virtual tracks makes time on the track for the real thing more valuable; even professional racecar drivers use CXC simulators to train for upcoming races. Once the TV stars, professional athletes, singers e al. were ready to face the challenge of driving real stock cars, they put the pedal to the metal!

Reality TV star and singer Brandon Jenner was the winner! Fans enjoyed the extra celebrity action during the Auto Club 400 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Race. All for a good cause, the Celebrity Racing Challenge was created to support DRIVE4COPD, NASCAR’s Official Health Initiative in partnership with the COPD Foundation. The non-profit organization aims to help spread awareness about chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, a progressive disease that affects an estimated 24 million Americans.

Notable celebs in the pictures and videos include Rob Riggle, Allen Covert, Frankie Muniz, Bill Fichtner, Travis Pastrana, and his wife Lyn-Z Adams Hawkins Pastrana, Robbie Maddison, Anna Rawson, Bruce Jenner…

CXC Simulations is headquartered in Marina del Rey, California and was founded specifically to manufacture a professional-level racing simulator – a simulator that was not only suited to pro drivers and race teams, but one that was practical for home use as well. Developed with the expertise and experience of professional drivers and engineers over a two-year period, the result was the CXC Motion Pro II, about which AutoWeek said, “might just be the best racing simulator in the world.”
Powered by a purpose-built rack-mounted simulation computer, the MP II is meticulously assembled from the same materials as racecars: aluminum, laser-cut steel and carbon fiber. It is compatible with all major commercial and online software options and users may choose from a practically limitless and ever-increasing list of modern or vintage cars to drive, including F1, GT, NASCAR, sports cars, off-road, open-wheel and rally (even race boats) and tracks around the world to race on. Yet what separates the MP II from other simulators is the implementation and interpretation of that software; the precise timing, intensity and accuracy of its proprietary full-motion system, tactile transducers and force-feedback controls, together with 5.1 surround sound and a 1080p high-definition panorama video display. The MP II realistically reproduces the sensation of racing, making it the ultimate driving simulator for both racing professionals and recreational enthusiasts alike.
